Scheduling Mediations Mediation Calendar - Available Mediation Dates Mediation Facilities Directions Lew Laderer has been actively engaged as a civil mediator and arbitrator for over 14 years. He received his certification as an Indiana Civil Mediator in December of 1992. Since that time he has mediated over 1,000 cases involving a broad range of complex legal and factual issues including motor vehicle accidents, premises lilability, products liability, medical and legal malpractice actions, bankruptcy, business/shareholder disputes, employee/employer disputes, wrongful death actions, real property disputes, construction litigation, and commercial disputes. Lew has handled both pre-suit and pre-arbitration mediations. Although for the first 15 years of his practice tenure Lew specialized in insurance defense and commercial litigation, for the last 20 plus years, in addition to mediation and arbitration, Lew has concentrated his practice in banking law and commercial litigation. His background as a trial attorney and commercial lawyer make him uniquely qualified to mediate a wide variety of civil disputes. Scheduling Mediations Mediations may be scheduled through Lisa Markell at (574)284-2354 from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. If requested Lisa will send attorneys or their staff a list of available dates for the period requested. Available dates may also be obtained from the Mediation Calendar at this website. This calendar is updated daily but a mediation date must be reserved through Lisa or another member of our staff. It is requested that attorneys confirm the availability of other attorneys and clients involved in the case before reserving a mediation date. Once a date is reserved we will send each attorney an engagement letter confirming the mediation date. Mediations are scheduled for the full day and usually begin at 10:00 a.m. unless the parties request a different starting time. Mediation Facilities The offices of Laderer & Fischer, P.C. are well equipped affording each party the space and privacy required for effective mediation. In typical two party mediations, each litigant has the use of a separate mediation suite with its own entrance to assure privacy. Multiple party mediation can be accommodated with up to six separate mediation rooms available. Video playback equipment is available for use during mediations. Directions LADERER & FISCHER, P.C. is located in downtown South Bend, Indiana at Suite 310 in the Wells Fargo Bank Building located at 112 West Jefferson Boulevard next to the Robert A. Grant Federal Building and United States Court House. Ample parking is available in the parking garage located at the northeast corner of Main and Wayne streets in South Bend. This parking garage provides weather protected connected access to the third floor of the Wells Fargo Bank Building and all day parking costs only $3.00. Parking is also located at the Leyton Complex parking facility located across from the Wells Fargo Bank building on the northwest corner of Jefferson and Michigan streets.
